Vector One provides another great opinion on sustainable development, indicators and geospatial technologies. From the blog: "I think viewing the whole world through a Webmap and the focus on webmaps as the sole technology for representing how we live needs a major updating. I wonder if our focus today is too oriented toward ‘making technology connect - interoperably’, when it might be better to understand the factors connecting sustainabile development, and representing them more fully and accurately."

Technology: The Evolution of Spatial Technologies [+]
Vector One surprised me with another great post on the evolution of spatial technologies. While the first part of his entry focuses on the ESRI User Conference, he continues on what GIS might become: "How often have you read blogs and news and the topic is focused on the technology solely? [...] Can we truly see the value of all the exceptional tools before us? Are we aware enough, bold enough and bright enough, to realise our next applications and solutions may be significantly different than previous ones - and for different reasons?"
